Dial-Up, Connection & e-mail

Before you can setup a connection to pracon.net you will need the following
information:
· Your Username: Your e-mail login
name
· Your Password: The password you
selected when activating your account
· Dial-Up Phone Number: 329-1441

1. Click the Start button. Select Settings from the menu that appears. Next, select the Network and Dial-up Connections |

4. You should now see a screen that looks like this one: Now double click on the icon called Make New Connection. That should bring up the network wizard. Click Next.

5. Select Dial-up to the Internet and then click Next. |

6. That should bring you to this screen. Select Set up my Internet connection manually, then click Next. |

7.Select Connect through a phone line and modem and then click Next |

8. Enter in the phone number: 329-1441 and then click Next |

9. Then type in your User name and Password, and then click Next |

10. Give your connection a name, and then click Next |

11. If you want to go ahead and set up your e-mail select Yes, if not select No.
If you choose "Yes" then continue, if not please jump to step "17"

12. Select Create a new mail account and then click Next. |

13. Type in the name that you want to appear on all of your outgoing mail. And then click Next |

14. Now type in your e-mail address: (username@pracon.net) And then click Next |

15. Now type in the names of the servers: POP3: SMTP: And then click next |

16. Type in your User name and Password and then click Next |

17. After clicking next, you should come to this screen, meaning that you have finished setting up your connection. Click Finish |

You will now be able to connect to the Internet by double clicking your newly created connection. If you would like this connection to be a little easier to get to, then Right Click on it and Create a Shortcut. The shortcut will now show up on the desktop.
